Lately I’ve been using a couple of products from The Body Shop Tea Tree line. This range claims to be the perfect treatment for people that has oily skin and blemishes. I have oily-combination skin, so I decided to test the pore minimiser and the BB cream for a little over a week.

A pore minimiser is used by people that uses makeup on a daily basis and can prevent acne too. After cleaning and moisturizing my face I apply The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser with my fingertips on the oily areas of my face: around the nose, chin, under-eye circles and forehead. The product creates a thin layer that protects the skin from dirt, makeup and bacteria. It also helps the pores to appear smaller in size and can be used as a primer.

The Body Shop Tea Tree BB Cream is a tinted moisturizer that gives a light to medium coverage. I apply it with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush. There are three shades –Light, Medium and Dark– and I’m using the second one although it doesn’t fit my skin tone. That’s why it would be good to see them come out with more colors. However, I like this BB Cream because it isn’t heavy, is buildable and keeps my skin matte for several hours (depending on the weather). When it’s very hot I set it with powder and it last all day.

I would recommend this product to all who has combination-oily skin, want to keep it simple when it comes to makeup and not looking overdone.

MAC Crosswires has become my all-time favourite lipstick since I bought it on July. MAC describes this shade as an “orangy pink” and it’s part of the Cremesheen lipstick range (lip finish or formula that is very creamy). It’s not orange on me at all and I think that it’s more on the corally pink side. However, I can notice a little bit of golden shimmer on it.

It’s very easy to wear, really mousturizing and slightly glossy. In my opinion this shade suits all skin tones and I have had lot of compliments on this lipstick.

Crosswires is perfect for summertime and looks awesome with fresh outfits, that’s why I love to pair it with white or pastel clothes and black liquid eyeliner or neutral color eyeshadows. I actually think that this pink coral shade is more wearable for the day time. Nevertheless, we can add two more layers for bright bold lips.

To make this lipstick last longer I apply a layer of Maybelline Baby Lips in ‘Cherry Me’ before Crosswires. I also try not to rub my lips together. If you apply it separately on the top lip and the lower lip you’ll avoid dry patches.
